Roanoke, VA (May 25, 2005) Roanoke, Virginia based ConBrio Systems has completed initial development of their product, Envoy, a real-time sales force scheduling program that optimizes sales call schedules for time, distance and customer value.  “This product will revolutionize the sales call process because it offers the sales representative real time customer visit scheduling and rescheduling information”, explains Mark Lucas, CEO of ConBrio Systems.  In an early internal test mirrored with an actual pharmaceutical sales territory, Envoy increased sales activity achievement by nearly 40%.  Activity achievement, sometimes called reach and frequency, is the primary revenue driver in the pharmaceutical industry.  The secret lies in a patent-pending algorithm and software developed by the ConBrio team that optimizes a sales force visit schedule.  The program does this by recommending the highest value customer to visit given geographic proximity to the reps current location and available schedule.  Lucas goes on to state, “Envoy removes the guesswork and hassle factor from sales rep time scheduling.  This program virtually ensures that the highest value customer will be seen at the right frequency, allowing the rep to broaden their customer reach and their own productivity”.  Envoy runs on a Windows-based Smartphone and acts like a mobile secretary or dispatcher. The phone uses an Internet protocol to exchange data with a central server, which makes optimum scheduling decisions.

The ConBrio team will target the pharmaceutical industry first.  Envoy enables pharmaceutical companies to effectively target top prescribers, minimize the time spent scheduling, and virtually eliminate scheduling conflicts. In a July 2003 article in the Wall Street Journal this scheduling conflict and inefficient deployment of sales reps was identified as the biggest and most costly problem in the industry. The effective management of sales rep schedules could result in millions of dollars in increased revenues. Today, reps use many manual and reactive methods to schedule their time. This is a static approach to a dynamic problem. Envoy applies a proactive and dynamic approach to this dynamic problem.

With initial development complete, ConBrio received its last tranche of seed funding from the Carilion Biomedical Institute. This was an ideal investment from the standpoint of having good quality management with start-up experience in a technology company. Plus the team proved themselves by hitting every milestone that they agreed to and staying within budget.  I expect to see success from ConBrio and from Envoy”, states Daniel Barchi, President and CEO of Carilion Biomedical.

ConBrio is currently looking to angel funding opportunities to further refine and market the product.
